Dr. Wainen is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, and assists patients with a variety of orthopedic needs including orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. He received his undergraduate degree in exercise physiology and his master's degree in cardiac rehabilitation from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. He attended University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey where he received his doctorate and then completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in orthopaedic surgery. He received certification from the American College of Sports Medicine, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. As a competitive gymnast, Dr. Wainen honors as the New Jersey Junior Olympic Ring Champion. When he's not assisting patients with fracture repair and general orthopedics, Dr. Wainen also enjoys woodworking, strength training, and motorcycling.
